A Summer Wedding at Glen Magna Farms
Among a shortlist of favorite estate wedding venues on the North Shore of Massachusetts, is Glen Magna Farms! For those looking for a tented reception with all of the historical charm of an estate venue, it’s the perfect combination. And for those getting married in the summer months, the gardens at Glen Magna Farms make for an incredible backdrop.
Wedding Day Prep at Glen Magna Farms
This August wedding began with hair, makeup, and prep at the nearby Boston Marriott Peabody. Nicole opted to get into her wedding dress onsite in the bridal suite at Glen Magna Farms — something I highly recommend! The images from that portion of the day are amongst my favorites.
Pre-Ceremony Portraits without a First Look
While Nicole and George wanted to save their “first look” for the ceremony, they did want to do some pre-ceremony portraits separately in order to minimize the time that their close friends and family would need to spend doing photos during cocktail hour. When I created their wedding day photo timeline, we strategically staggered each of their arrival times so that Nicole and her family and bridesmaids could do photos outside before George even arrived to the venue! Then when George arrived, we captured him with his family and groomsmen.
Ceremony in the Garden
Nicole’s brother is a member of the popular Boston wedding band, Sugar Babies, so it was only fitting for him to be the one to play acoustic guitar as Nicole and her father came down the aisle at the ceremony. In the summer months at Glen Magna Farms, the garden particularly shines during the ceremony! The entire ceremony space is enclosed in beautiful flowers and greenery.
Portraits at Glen Magna Farms
Post-ceremony, the wedding party and family reconvened for a few more portraits before heading to cocktail hour on the lawn! Our team walked around the property with Nicole and George at that point to capture portraits of just the two of them before their tented reception began!
One of my favorite elements of Glen Magna Farms is how effortlessly beautiful and sophisticated the property is. The interior of the estate is bright and inviting, not too stuffy. And the grounds are covered in unique backdrops that help to create a great amount of variety within an image gallery!
Nicole and George’s wedding was absolutely a highlight of my 2021 wedding season, and I’m excited to share some highlights below!
