Plymouth, MA Golf Club Wedding Bride and Groom portrait

The coastal town of Plymouth, MA is home to many golf clubs, but Micaela and Cam knew that the Waverly Oaks Golf Club was the perfect venue for their wedding! When I first talked with Micaela and Cam, they shared with me that is was most important to them was to have a fun, relaxed wedding day with all of their closest family and friends! The beautiful grounds, outdoor ceremony space, and grand ballroom made it the perfect place to do just that.

Micaela and Cam got ready at a nearby hotel in Plymouth with their bridal parties. I always set aside time at the beginning of the day to capture their wedding details and the final getting-ready moments. Micaela selected a beautiful and classic seafoam green color for the bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen’s ties. It provided the perfect coastal feel amongst the lush green backdrop of the golf course.

It was important to them to save their first look for when Micaela would walk down the aisle with her father. So, we carefully structured the day so that we would have time to capture all of their portraits without spoiling the first look moment! We had Micaela and her group arrive at the golf course first for some pre-ceremony group photos. We took photos of everything on the photo list that didn’t require Cam! Then Cam arrived for his own set of pre-ceremony photos with his groomsmen. We carved out a moment for them to do a “first touch” before the official start of the ceremony so they would not see one another, but have a moment to connect and talk together.

Waverly Oaks Golf Club Wedding

This Plymouth Golf Club wedding venue has the perfect place for an outdoor ceremony in the summer months. The beautiful columns and built-in arbor make it the perfect centerpiece for the ceremony. Micaela and Cam got their true first-look moment as Micaela walked down the aisle with her dad.

After the ceremony itself, we captured portraits around the Waverly Oaks property. We had the perfect lighting as the sun was setting it provided a beautiful glow in all of their photos. Most importantly Micaela and Cam were completely at ease and just so happy to have that quiet time together as their guests mingled away at cocktail hour. I loved their dog Bauer joining in for a few family photos as well!

The reception began shortly afterward in the vast ballroom. The night was complete with toasts, dinner, and dancing. Congratulations to this wonderful couple!
