Meredith and Colin are Cape Cod lovers, so selecting the Dune at Wychmere Beach Club as their wedding venue was an easy decision! This new breathtaking venue offers all of their favorite Cape Cod elements – a stunning ocean view, sailboats in the distance, and easy beach access. They couldn’t wait to share all that Cape Cod has to offer with their guests. Sailing and spending time on the water is a favorite activity for the couple, particularly Colin, whose late father was an avid sailor. To them, celebrating their wedding at Dune felt like the best way to get married at the beach without actually dipping their toes in the sand.
Romantic White and Gold Color Scheme
It was a priority for Meredith and Colin to have a wedding day that felt elegant, with subtle nods to the beach, and full of joy! Meredith selected a timeless and classic color palette of gold and white, with blue hues as a nod to the coastal Cape Cod scenery. Her meticulous planning was unmatched and every detail tied together perfectly – from the stationery to the flowers.
Meredith spent her morning at a Cape Cod rental house sipping champagne with her closest friends, mother, and soon-to-be-mother-in-law. The house was full of excitement and laughter! We were very intentional with the photo timeline and made it a priority to capture sets of photos throughout the day at various locations that represent their love for each other, and Cape Cod.
Timeless Cape Cod Wedding Photography
First, we met at Saquatucket Harbor for their “first look” — complete with the boats in the background. Colin was so excited to see Meredith that he turned right around as soon as she walked onto the dock! Their wedding party and immediate family members joined soon after for their group formal photos. Even though it was a large wedding party, we quickly moved through our shot list with this fun and lively group.
We then traveled by trolly to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for the ceremony. Meredith’s smiles and general excitement really lit up the room throughout the ceremony! You could tell these two couldn’t wait any longer to tie the knot! Immediately afterward, we went to Dune at Wychmere Beach Club to capture one last set of portraits before sunset. It was a good time for Meredith and Colin to step away and take in a private moment together, before joining all of their guests at cocktail hour. We captured photos of just the two of them on the dock and spotted the same sailboat that Colin’s dad used to sail cruising along in the harbor! It was a really special moment for them to see that!
Dune at Wychmere Beach Club
One of the best parts of this venue is the expansive deck space for cocktail hour. With 180-degree views of the ocean overlooking the beach below, you couldn’t ask for a better location to watch the sunset. Inside, the reception space was decorated in white and champagne gold. The candlelight illuminated the room as the sun continued to set. With the last name Champagne, it only felt fitting to incorporate some subtle tie-ins with champagne gold accents and the Dom Perignon at the reception.
We heard four heartfelt toasts to the newlyweds as guests enjoyed dinner. The parent dances officially opened the dance floor and it was immediately filled with fun! Meredith and Colin worked meticulously throughout the planning process, so it truly allowed them to live in the moment and take in the day.
