Katherine and Joey’s coastal New England-tented wedding was the perfect summer day! This happy couple met going into their senior year of high school and have been inseparable ever since! They went to college together, living in Charleston, SC for a while, and now call the seacoast of New Hampshire home. It was only fitting they wanted to celebrate their wedding where it all began.

We started the day with Joey getting ready at his parent’s summer home, and Katherine getting ready in her parent’s home nearby. Katherine and Joey both love spending time together on the water so a summer wedding couldn’t be more fitting. Katherine’s dress design was a nod to the ocean with its subtle pattern, as well as all the decor and details of the day.

Katherine and Joey were initially unsure about sharing a first look together ahead of their ceremony. They both wanted to have that special moment together coming down the aisle. In the months leading up to planning though, they decided that it was important to take portraits together in a few nearby locations while also having time to mingle with guests throughout the event. For the ease of their day, they ultimately decided to add a first look and get not one, but two of those special moments seeing one another.

We met outside in Katherine’s parent’s beautiful backyard for their first look where the grounds and the lighting were incredible! The excitement between the two was really special when they saw each other and Katherine wore an infectious smile throughout the entire day. We then went to the ocean for some portraits along the rocky coast with the wedding party and family before it was officially time for the ceremony!

Leaning into the coastal theme, Jardiniere Flowers incorporated a mix of blue and white blooms, with natural greenery. The ceremony flowers were a beautiful complement to the lawn overlooking the harbor. The peak moment of the day had to have been when Katherine and Joey were announced as husband and wife! Their excitement really shows through the photos and all of the happy, congratulatory hugs that followed.

Cocktail hour and the reception both happened under the Sperry sailcloth tent at Wentworth by The Sea. Katherine designed the space with natural wood chairs, hues of blue at each place setting, and gorgeous florals that decorated the tables.

Katherine and Joey enjoyed an evening of toasts and dancing with their family and friends. We snuck away for one last set of portraits along the harbor to finish our coverage of the day!
