Wychmere Beach Club Summer Wedding on Cape Cod

Andie and Ryan’s summer wedding at the Wychmere Beach Club was filled with joy! From my very first conversation with Andie, there was a great connection, and I knew that her and Ryan’s wedding would be a really special one to capture. Andie and Ryan started dating during their freshman year of college at Boston University and knew they were meant to be. They couldn’t wait to bring all of their family and friends to Cape Cod to celebrate their love!

Floral-Filled Cape Cod Summer Wedding

Andie has an infectious joy that radiated from her the entire day. She’s a planner and every detail from the timeline to the decor was carefully considered. As a fellow floral lover myself, I loved the emphasis and inspiration on flowers throughout all of the decor and details. She selected a color palette of soft pinks, peaches, yellows, and sage that was very summery and coastal.

After taking some portraits of Ryan and the groomsmen getting ready, we headed to Andie’s family’s Cape house where the ladies were getting their hair and makeup done. Andie shared some heartfelt moments with her mom and sister while putting on her gown. We love that their golden retriever Lily was able to join in on the fun as well! Before the ceremony, Andie did a first look with her dad in their beautiful garden in the backyard. His tearful reaction to seeing his daughter was so special!

Elegant Garden Wedding at the Wychmere Beach Club

Andie and Ryan waited to see each other as Andie walked down the aisle at the Holy Redeemer in Chatham, MA. Once they were officially married, we then had a break for their portraits between the ceremony and the start of cocktail hour. Andie and Ryan fell in love with everything about the Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich Port. They loved the views, vintage oak, and the proximity to the ocean. They especially couldn’t wait to join their guests during cocktail hour, playing lawn games and slurping down oysters. Plus, the blooming, colorful hydrangea bushes at the venue were the perfect backdrop for portraits!

The reception itself was a party from the very beginning! Andie and Ryan were introduced into the Harbor Room at Wychmere for their first dance, and then the DJ opened his first dance set with no shortage of energy amongst the group. The candid photos throughout the reception of their family and friends are some of my favorites to date! I snuck away with Andie and Ryan for sunset photos out on the beach between toasts and dinner, before returning for parent dances and the rest of the celebrations!
