Garden-Inspired North Shore Wedding

It was an easy choice for Lizzie and Chris to select Willowdale Estate as the venue for their Boston North Shore wedding. They knew they wanted a summer, tented wedding close to Boston and were immediately impressed when they visited Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, MA. The meticulous grounds and care that go into the venue was immediately apparent upon stepping on the property. They loved knowing the gardens would be in full bloom in the middle of summer and knew everything would look perfect on their wedding day!

Boston North Shore Wedding Venue

Lizzie and Chris planned an elegant summer soiree that was relaxed and fun. They started the day getting ready off-site before arriving at Willowdale to get dressed and put on their final touches. Lizzie wore a timeless and stylish Sareh Nouri gown with a beautiful bow detail on the back, and Chris wore a tuxedo complete with a bowtie to fit their elegant vision for the day.

Lizzie and Chris shared with me that they wanted to truly enjoy each part of their wedding day alongside their family and friends. Therefore, we made sure the logistics of photography flowed smoothly and allotted time for all of their formal photos before the ceremony. We headed out to the riverside walkway that neighbors the estate so Lizzie and Chris could share a private first look and exchange personal vows. After those private moments, we returned to the courtyard for a few more couple portraits before family and the wedding party joined for portraits.

I absolutely love that she had her bridesmaids select their own “garden-inspired” dresses to wear! The mismatched dresses looked stunning and blended perfectly with their bouquets.

Willowdale Estate Tented Wedding Reception

The ceremony itself took place outside in Willowdale’s beautiful courtyard. Lizzie added a veil with scallop lace detail along the edge to complete her bridal look. We captured just a few more “just married” portraits immediately following the ceremony before spending the night mingling with family and friends.

The sailcloth tent for the reception looked absolutely stunning! The florist, Berry and Branch, adorned the tent with greenery and rattan lanterns that hung over the dance floor. Garden-cut florals decorated the guest tables and completed the garden-inspired look.

Lizzie and Chris were introduced into the tent before sharing their first dance as husband and wife. Guests joined them on the dancefloor for an opening dance set, before being seated to enjoy their meals and a few toasts. They each danced with their respective parents before the band kicked the party off for the remainder of the evening! The space looked lovely as night fell, lit with glowing candlelight and string lights. Congratulations to this beautiful couple!
