Audrey and Brendan’s Town Neck Beach engagement session was so much fun! This was my first time visiting this South Shore beach, but hopefully not my last! It was a location perfect for an engagement session! It has a few distinct areas to work with that gave us a great variety of backdrops. Audrey’s grandmother used to have a home nearby, which made the location extra special to her and Brendan!
Town Neck Beach Engagement Session on Cape Cod
Town Neck Beach is located in Sandwich, MA, just over the bridge into Cape Cod. Though the neighboring Sandwich Boardwalk is currently closed for renovations, we were able to use part of the boardwalk to the beach to capture that aspect. The beach itself is smooth and sandy, with plenty of space for us to utilize for photos. Since Audrey and Brendan’s session was in May we were ahead of the busy summer season and the beach was perfectly private.
Audrey and Brendan selected outfits that were relaxed, yet polished. Brendan’s blue button-up shirt complimented Audrey’s white ruffle dress perfectly.
Coastal New England Photographer
Audrey and Brendan first found me online when looking for images of Glen Manor House, their wedding venue! Beautifully polished wedding images are important to them as well as candid images that capture the feeling of the day. Balancing those two aspects was a high priority when it came to photography, and ultimately led them to me! And while they wanted images that felt bright when fitting to the environment being captured, the fine line between “bright” and “washed out” was a very important one.
Audrey’s mom is a photographer too — so not only was Audrey already a complete natural with the camera, but she and her mother already had an eye for discerning between different photography styles! I can’t wait to capture Audrey and Brendan on their wedding day!
