Elaina and Alex, a couple with a future shared last name that relates to boats and being out on the water, opted for a uniquely meaningful sailboat engagement session. Choosing to charter a sailboat, we embarked on the Arcadia from Santori Sailing in Marblehead, MA on a beautiful summer night to capture these stunning photos!

Experience-Oriented Engagement Photography

It was beautifully overcast, with just enough glow from the water around us for their photos. Elaina and Alex wanted a session that was organic and experience-oriented, with photos that would bring them back to those moments together on the water. The water was mostly calm for us, with just the occasional rock from the wake of another boat. Those moments made for some great candids of Elaina and Alex holding on to each other and the boat!

Massachusetts Sailboat Engagement Photos 

Like any couple, one objective of our sailboat engagement session was to help get rid of some photo nerves ahead of their wedding day! It’s normal to feel those jitters at the start of the session, but Elaina and Alex warmed up to photos quickly! Elaina has the absolute best laugh! The photos where she was laughing and being herself with Alex ended up being some of my favorites! 

As the sun was setting, the sky began to glow and Elaina and Alex popped a bottle of Veuve and celebrated all that is to come! We can’t wait to celebrate them again next summer at The Beauport in Gloucester!
