Remember when I went to Washington, DC earlier this spring to photograph an engagement?! Well, Austin and Liz are officially MARRIED! They tied the knot on a private property in Goffstown, New Hampshire that has been in Liz’s family for a number of years. It had always been one of Liz’s favorite places and was a natural fit for their family-focused ceremony and reception.
Liz and Austin first met in June of 2015. They were both living in Washington, DC and spent their first date wandering around the same monuments we wandered together at our engagement session this spring. They spent hours at the Tidal Basin, bonding over their favorite music. As the sun began to set, they ventured to Liz’s favorite dive bar, “Little Miss Whiskey’s” on H Street, where they danced, and eventually found themselves on the upstairs courtyard deck, again sharing music and laughs. By the time it was all said and done, it was 3am… and Austin had to work the next day at 6am!
Naturally, the proposal happened back at the Tidal Basin, at the same bench where they first spent all those hours chatting away.
Liz and Austin’s wedding day was filled with magical details — quite literally! They created a day that would be celestial, romantic, and create a nostalgic feel for the people and things that got them to this day.
Wedding advice to other couples:
